Yes, a retainer is required to begin your project. This fee covers the essential first phase of our process, which includes an in-depth exploration of your needs and goals, the creation of a comprehensive design plan, precise measurements, 2 and 3-D renderings, construction drawings, material sourcing, and a detailed estimate.
This upfront work ensures that every detail is thoughtfully planned and agreed upon before moving forward. By the time we finalize a contract, your budget is clear, your design plan is detailed, and there are no surprises. Our transparent and thorough approach sets us apart, offering you peace of mind and a seamless experience from the start.

Every EHD project involves two main costs: the initial retainer fee, which covers discovery, planning, and design, and the final project fee, which includes all other aspects like purchasing, shipping, installation, construction, and project management.
The total investment varies depending on factors such as the size of the space, the number of rooms, the scope of work, and the materials and design complexity. To ensure transparency, we provide detailed estimates during the planning phase so you know exactly what to expect.

For new builds, the timeline is typically longer due to the detailed planning and construction phases. Yes, we offer our Exclusive and Blueprint services to clients worldwide. For these projects, we collaborate with local builders and their suppliers and contractors as needed, combining occasional on-site visits with remote meetings, planning, ordering, and design work. However, our Signature service, which includes renovation and construction management, is exclusively offered within Central Indiana, as it requires our team to be on-site daily to ensure the highest standards of quality and execution.

Yes, EHD acts as the contractor for all renovation projects offered through our Signature service. This unique approach combines our expertise in both design and hands-on construction management, allowing us to handle every detail of your project under one roof. For new-builds, EHD partners with you and your chosen builder and architect to bring your vision to life. While we do not act as the builder, we collaborate closely to design architectural details and optimize your home’s layout, flow, and finishes. Once construction is complete, we handle all aspects of the interior design, from material selection to furniture procurement and styling, ensuring a cohesive and beautifully curated result inside and out.
